We all know how important it is for our soaps and shampoos to be as healthy for us as possible. This is why many people prefer to shop for all-natural body washes to ensure that no added or unseen chemicals can cause accidental harm.

In this article, we will be reviewing five of the best all natural body washes and comparing them to see if they are right for you and your body or if it’s just a clever use of words on the manufacturer’s part.

All-Natural Body Washes Reviews

Avalon Organics Nourishing Body Wash

For the first item on our list of reviews, we’ll be covering this beautifully scented body wash by Avalon Organics. This will create a perfect baseline of comparison for our future items.

Review

This body wash by Avalon Organics is described as being able to gently cleanse and hydrate the driest of skins. Using organic botanicals and essential oils, such as aloe barbadensis leaf juice, water, and coco-glucoside, their plant-based formula is designed to penetrate deep into the skin for extra nourishment and moisturization while also doing away with impurities.

A combination of lavender essential oil, quinoa protein, and aloe is used for skin replenishment to ensure your skin remains soft and supple. This body wash has been EWG-verified and uses exclusively non-GMO ingredients, as well as no parabens, harsh preservatives, synthetic color or fragrances, phthalates, or sulfates. Additionally, this product is entirely vegan-friendly and is untested on animals.

Be aware that, while they may be vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, they have had to make cuts to afford the manufacturing of their product better. A result is that their product is very watered down and has a gel-like consistency.

This means that when you go for a shower, you’ll find you’ll need to use a lot more of the body wash to ensure you cover your whole body as required, which also means you may find that the body wash may run out very quickly.

Pros

  • Highly moisturizing
  • Perfect for sensitive skin
  • Vegan-friendly
  • Cruelty-free

Cons

  • Watered down
  • Gel-like consistency may not be comfortable for all users
  • Runs out rather quickly because of consistency

BOTANIC HEARTH Tea Tree Body Wash

Another vegan-friendly and cruelty-free option is this naturally scented oil soap, which is an excellent alternative to those who want a strong body wash for their skin.

Review

Botanical Earth’s Tea Tree Oil Soap is a wonderful combination of potent, natural substances, such as water, Cocos Nucifera, Cocos Nucifera oil, Olea Europaea fruit oil, and Simmondsia Chinensis seed oil, just to name a few. This particular combination is marketed less towards those with sensitive skin and more towards those who require a deep clean and who use additional products after their shower.

Their product is potent enough to help with various conditions, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, acne, nail issues, and most other skin and feet infections and irritations.

Additionally, they have made their product using traditional European techniques that use premium botanical ingredients, meaning there are no harmful chemicals or parabens.

There are a few downsides to this, however. The company warns you to use a moisturizer directly after using its product and not to use their product if you have sensitive skin. It also contains various allergens, and they recommend that you use a small drop on your inner elbow to test before using it all over your body. Those who are pregnant should consult their health care provider before use.

Pros

  • Incredibly strong and potent body wash
  • Excellent for treating various skin irritations
  • Uses only botanical ingredients – vegan-friendly
  • Cruelty-free

Cons

  • Too strong for sensitive skin – test before use
  • May not be suitable for pregnant women

Puracy Body Wash

For those looking for a more seaside experience to their body wash and shower gel, Puracy has you covered with this product. This is but one of their many plant-based, vegan products that you can enjoy.

Review

Puracy is known for its excellent vegan-friendly products that are geared towards all forms of personal care, from cleaning yourself to caring for your baby, to household cleaning products. This shower gel is a testament to their expertise in this area, with their shower gel being 99.3% plant-based matter and the rest being sea salt purifiers and water.

Some of their most prevalent ingredients are purified water and coconut-based cleansers, such as sodium lauroamphoacetate, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, various other plant-based ingredients, citric acids, plant-based skin softeners, and other plant-based preservatives.

Additionally, there is no Cocamidopropyl betaine, sulfates, parabens, salicylates, or petroleum-based ingredients, all of which are ingredients you see more often than you should. Overall, this is perhaps the most natural of the body washes on this list. It still manages to deliver excellent skin care for all skin types with deep-skin moisturization and citrus and seaside scents.

There aren’t any real problems with this product that are evident. It is a well-made body wash that had a lot of consideration put into its creation. Two best friends made it their goal to create a solid product that would be entirely non-toxic, plant-based, and eco-friendly.

They wanted their products to be safe around their pets and children, but they knew that the main tradeoff with products used to fit these criteria was that they were ineffective. They went out and made their own, so there isn’t anything wrong to say about this product.

Pros

  • Vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and eco-friendly
  • Perfect for all skin types with deep moisturization
  • Contains no harmful chemicals or ingredients
  • Full refund guaranteed

Cons

  • None

My Little North Star Tea Tree Peppermint Body Wash

Should you want a value pack alternative, then this North Star Organics body wash is an excellent option for those shopping on a budget. While it may be a budget option, that isn’t to say it’s bad or worse by any means.

Review

This is an excellent option for those looking for a straightforward option designed to be safe and cleansing without any added complications. The simplicity comes from their combination of plant-based ingredients that are all relatively common and standard across the board, featuring items such as vitamin E, aloe vera extracts, and peppermint oil.

This combination of ingredients also makes their product great for cleansing skin irritations and promoting skin regeneration and healing. Like almost all all-natural products, their products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, and they are also hypoallergenic and toxin-free. They also do not use alcohol, dyes, synthetic fragrances, silicones, parabens, phthalates, SLS, or other harsh ingredients.

They are also tear-free and made with extra strength in mind for those who are very active and outgoing, but it is also perfect for any other skin type. You can enjoy the cool scent of peppermint and tea tree while maintaining perfectly healthy and clean skin, and if you aren’t happy, you can get a full refund.

A side effect of the ingredients used is that some people experience a sticky feeling left on their body after rinsing, leaving them feeling unclean despite obviously not being unclean. Otherwise, there are no other complaints or suggestions to be made.

Pros

  • Hypoallergenic and without any harmful chemicals or additives
  • Uses a simple formula to minimize adverse reactions on the skin
  • Great for all skin types and for those who are very active
  • Full money-back guarantee

Cons

  • Can leave a sticky and unclean feeling after washing

First Botany All Natural Tea Tree Body Wash

Our final product in this review is the first to include eucalyptus, surprisingly. This is another excellent choice for those looking for a deep wash and revitalizing experience with a clinically proven formula.

Review

This is a step away from the rest, as it is the first to include eucalyptus and introduce extra-strength exfoliating ingredients. The main two ingredients used are tea tree and aloe vera, making this an excellent cleansing body wash. Still, there is also a high concentration of eucalyptus oil for the exfoliating effect.

This clinical combination also makes it ideal for soothing irritated skin and treating various skin conditions, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, acne, toenail issues, and other standard foot and skin conditions. The body wash is creamy, lathers well, and is gentle on the skin. It is also great for those who are active.

It should be noted that it is not expressed anywhere that this product is vegan-friendly, and while it may not list any animal-based products, it might still be risky to purchase. Another problem some people have is that it is quite pricey for its volume of only 16 ounces.

Pros

  • Cruelty-free
  • Clinical combination of ingredients
  • Great for treating skin impurities and conditions
  • Great for all skin types and athletes

Cons

  • Might not be vegan-friendly
  • High price for its volume

Conclusion

To wrap up, we’ll make some final recommendations. Our top pick would be Puracy, as their products have proven to be the best without any notable downsides. The North Star body wash is a good backup option for those looking for a budget option. Botanic Hearth is an excellent option for those looking for a profound cleaning effect, but this isn’t for everyone, as it’s far too potent for sensitive skin.
